One of the advantages of cable mesh  over other materials is its high transparency and low weight. In addition, relatively large spans can be made. The cable mesh is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The cable mesh is made of stainless steel AISI316 (also known as 1.4401 or A4 quality). We can guarantee this quality 100% through European certificates. For enclosures and safety barrier applications, this steel quality is technically the best solution for price and delivery time.

The size of the openings in the mesh is referred to as the diamond size. For cable mesh in enclosures and safety barriers, a horizontal mesh of 2.0mm cable diameter x 60mm diamond size is generally used. Other diamond sizes are possible, but not common in these applications.

Cable mesh nets can be tensioned between, in front of or through the posts. In addition, you can choose to tension the nets between an border cable or a tubular frame. Cable mesh is usually stretched between a border cable. That peripheral cable is led through eyes that are about a meter apart. This is the most transparent way of detailing. The eyes are usually incorporated into the steelwork or eye nuts are applied. The eyes are usually 1 to 1.5 meters apart.

From an aesthetic or constructive point of view, the mesh can also be tensioned on a circular tube. Tubes are rigid and will therefore not bend easily, creating a tight edge. The diameter of the circumferential tubes is usually between 20 and 60 mm, depending on the span.

pendulum rod.

Pendulum rod can be welded directly to the steelwork and powder coated together with the construction. This creates a tight detailing and the mesh can be attached to this. This detailing accelerates the assembly time on site. This is also suitable to prevent finger entrapment.

One great advantage of the cable mesh  is that large spans can be made. An overhead cable is then tensioned from one point to the other and the mesh is then tensioned onto it. The greater the span, the more the cable will sag. The less the sag, the greater the forces on the endpoints. Our team is happy to help you determine the sag and the consequences that the sag has on the forces that must be transferred.

Our cable mesh is strong and can withstand great forces. For example, a line load of 3 kN is no exception for our cable mesh. The cable mesh can withstand leaning, kicking and falling. For this reason, X-TEND® cable mesh is used in the most extreme situations where safety must be guaranteed. All loads are generally transferred to the edge structure.

The cable mesh is tensioned on the cables with a pretension of approx. 30 to 40 kg per meter. The cables framing the mesh also have a certain pretension. The magnitude of this bias is partly determined by the center-to-center distance of the lead-through eyes and the desired sag of the edge cable between those eyes.

If a person (or another load) pushes or falls against the net, the forces are transferred via the edge construction to the attachment points. In an outdoor situation, moreover, forces occur as a result of loads such as ice and wind. It is important that the fastening eyes are strong enough to absorb the forces. Furthermore, the fastening components must be able to transfer the forces to the constructive columns, walls and floors.

Mounting the stainless steel cable mesh can be done by a general contractor or handy individual. We offer on-site installation training and support to ensure your project's flawless completion.

It is important that clear working drawings are made of the mesh area. This allows us to produce the nets to size and makes installation easier. In some cases it is possible to measure the area on location, after which the nets are produced.
